Just opened: 5 new Gold Coast spots most people don't know about yet.

Good Morning {{first_name}},

New venues open on the Coast almost every week. Honestly, keeping up feels impossible.

We usually wait for the fuss to die down before trying anywhere new. We don’t love loud crowds, and we certainly don't like fighting for a table. But over the last couple of months, a few really lovely places quietly opened their doors.

They aren't flashy. They just serve good food, offer a comfortable seat, and provide a bit of peace. From a tiny laneway wine bar to a fresh rooftop reopening in mid-May, here are five new spots we think you will actually enjoy.

🍷 A Quiet Glass of Wine: La Stradina, Coolangatta

Some places just make you want to pull up a chair and stay a while. La Stradina opened in March down a little Coolangatta laneway. Soft candles light the small room, making it feel like a proper European wine bar. You won't find loud music here, just a beautifully curated wine list and space for a real conversation.

💡 The Standout:
The genuine "sit and stay" European aesthetic. You skip the busy street traffic entirely since a laneway hides this spot. It provides the perfect, intimate setting to slowly enjoy a rich Barolo or a crisp Chablis uninterrupted.

☕ A Proper Morning Sit-Down: Paradox Coffee, Broadbeach

Your morning coffee shouldn't feel like a race. Paradox opened their relocated Broadbeach flagship space in April, and they built it specifically for lingering. The space feels more like a sophisticated dessert lounge than a standard café.

💡 The Standout:
They pair their signature in-house roasted coffee with a seriously elevated pastry menu. Grab a sweet treat and sink into a proper chair—the team left plenty of space between tables so you can read a book or catch up with a friend in absolute peace.

🌮 Simple and Local: Empanadas Che, Tweed Heads

A great new spot doesn't need a million-dollar fit-out. This independent Argentinian food truck popped up in late March on the border, and it hits the mark perfectly. The owners serve honest, golden, flaky empanadas with a really welcoming neighborhood vibe.

💡 The Standout:
The unapologetically authentic street-food experience. Sitting just over the border in Tweed Heads keeps this truck completely off the tourist radar. Grab a hot beef empanada, add some fresh chimichurri, and enjoy a relaxed, easy bite.

🌅 The Sunset View: Cooly Breeze Rooftop, Coolangatta

If you chase good views, write this one down. Cooly Breeze officially reopens its renovated rooftop in mid-May. The team completely refreshed the space, bringing a crisp, relaxed Mediterranean feel to the southern coast. It easily wins the title for the best new sunset spot this season.

💡 The Standout:
The uninterrupted, elevated coastal view. A lovely afternoon breeze sweeps across the roof, making it the absolute premier spot to grab a cocktail, share some Mediterranean bites, and watch the sky change colors.

🍸 Easy Evening Alfresco: ConKaBar, Burleigh Heads

Burleigh just scored a great new addition. ConKaBar opened its doors in mid-April, striking a perfect balance between a daytime spot and a relaxed evening bar. They serve Mexico City-inspired tapas and crafted drinks in a breezy alfresco setting. The energy feels vibrant but still incredibly chill.

💡 The Standout:
The seamless day-to-night transition. The comfortable outdoor seating makes it so easy to start with a late afternoon snack and roll right into dinner under the open sky. Try their signature cocktails—you won't be disappointed.
